straight suction rail pneumatic exhaust removal

Straight Suction Rail (SSR)
Pneumatic Exhaust Removal System

The HazVent SSR system is designed to handle up to four vehicles in tandem with unlimited travel length. The system uses minimum hose lengths and pneumatic nozzles. It is equipped with an auto-start device that activates the fan before the engine starts.

The aluminum suction rail serves as part of the exhaust duct system. A trolley mounts on the suction rail to support the hose and travels with the movement of the vehicle. The trolley's wheels ride outside of the rail to avoid having the wheels roll through the toxic diesel exhaust soot that is being discharged through the rail.

At the end of travel, the uncoupling valve automatically releases the air from the nozzle, allowing for a smooth uncoupling. Returning to the fire station, the flexible hose with the pneumatic nozzle is reconnected to the apparatus tailpipe. The apparatus then moves into the station and parks.

Best Airflow Available

Most apparatus tailpipes are 5 inches in diameter. HazVent systems use compatible 5-inch hoses, which will not restrict airflow the way 4-inch hoses do. Additionally, HazVent's die-stamped lifting elbow allows greater airflow than old-style rubber saddles.

HazVent Fans

HazVent fans are designed solely for exhaust removal and have continuously welded housings to eliminate "rust run." Spark-resistant, curved blades deliver highest efficiency, stability and quiet performance.

Convert
Your Current System

Firehouses currently using faulty pneumatic systems can upgrade with HazVent nozzles and replacement parts. This conversion provides an extra margin of safety and reliability, without having to replace an entire system.
