Ambient Air

MagneGrip’s patented nozzle has a one-way check valve that allows air in, but does not allow exhaust fumes to escape. Ambient air cools the exhaust and eliminates wear on the hose system. Competitive pneumatic systems do not have air intake, and electro-magnetic systems have an open nozzle that allows air intake, but also enables exhaust fumes to escape.

Automatic Release

The MagneGrip patented nozzle is held in place by three Magne-Paks (with rare-earth magnets) strategically located for easy release. When the vehicle exits the bay, tension on a cable inside the hose causes the nozzle to automatically disconnect at the door. There is never any undue tension or pull on the hose. After disconnecting, the hose/nozzle assembly safely retracts to a position away from the door.

Less Equipment

Competitive pneumatic and electro-magnetic systems require extra equipment such as air compressors that cycle on and off 24 hours a day to maintain pressure, air lines running from the compressor all the way to a control valve, electro-magnetic wiring that is necessary to release attachment to the vehicle, etc. MagneGrip systems do not require this extra equipment.

Less Maintenance

MagneGrip systems are more advanced and functionally less complex than competitive systems. They operate on a simple mechanical-release principle. Because they do not require all the extraneous equipment other systems do, they are easier to use, require less maintenance, and are less likely to malfunction. They are also more economical to purchase and to maintain year after year.

Power Outages

If the power is out in your station, the MagneGrip system continues to operate and the nozzle automatically releases at the door. With pneumatic or electro-magnetic systems, when there is no power or a delay in power, there is no automatic release and your emergency response time can be compromised.
